"My name is Katybeth, and I make herbal apothecary goods and natural immune-boosting tonics. I wanted a way to keep my family healthy and learn ways to treat different ailments at home naturally. It all began when my husband and I began organic gardening almost 15 years ago. We started growing our own food, raising transplants to sell and supply some of our veggies to a local restaurant. After I had my children, I was called to begin making natural folk remedies to take care of our family’s minor illnesses that pop up, and so I made my first batch of Fire Cider and Elderberry Syrup. Those were shared with family and friends, and the next thing I knew, I was making hundreds of bottles to supply people that wanted these natural options for their families.
Elderberry is one of the most widely used medicinal plants due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties. The elderberries are cooked down into a syrup and sweetened with raw honey. It is so tasty that even my kids love taking it! I try to use many of our homegrown items in my products and source the rest from local farms. The elderberries are sourced through various farmers, I find organic spices where I can, and the raw honey is through a local co-op that sources from P & E Farm in Emory, Tx. I love making Elderberry Syrup, and being able to provide quality, homemade products to others, who are seeking a more natural approach to their family’s health".
