SCHOOL LUNCH BOXES

We strive to help you with time by delivering an organic lunchbox to your child’s school. We currently deliver on Tuesdays to one school, “The Spanish House”. We will soon add more days and schools! You can order for the next week or for the full month. Your child will receive his lunchbox at his school right on time for lunch. Your child's lunch box is delivered in bagasse containers, made of natural fibers. Lunch is prepared with the best ingredients: meats are grass-fed and pasture-raised from local farms here in Texas, produce and snacks are all organic. Flavors are always considerate of children’s palates. À Table organic lunchbox service requires a partnership with the school in order to deliver your child’s lunch to school.  If you’d like to invite your school, please talk to the school’s principal or food coordinator to drum up interest!

MARKETPLACE

Whether it is local honey, a morning croissant, or a keto tortilla, we complete your dinner table with premium and vetted products from local artisans whose values are aligned with ours.

If you are a local business and a healthy brand, please let us share your story and bring your product to homes in the neighborhood.

Our Suppliers

We work with local farms and ranches who use traditional, free-range farming methods and organic feed. By supporting our local farmers, we provide you with ingredients with a superior nutritional profile that travel short distances from the farm to your dinner table while we continue to support our local economy.

Beef, pork & lamb

Burgundy Pasture Beef in Grandview has a very simple philosophy: The cattle need to be given enough time and enough nutrition. From birth to slaughter it is 100% grass-fed, without antibiotics and hormones on pastures free of herbicides and pesticides. Burgundy Local is the only producer of meat in Texas and possibly in the US who raises their own beef, do their own processing and market in their own retail stores.

CHICKEN

Windy Meadows Family Farm in Campbell raises pastured chicken without the use of added hormones or antibiotics. They process the chicken in their own state-inspected facility under USDA standards without the use of chemical dips, commonly used in processing to retard bacteria. Instead, they use ice baths to quickly chill the chicken so that the unique old-fashioned flavor is retained.

Eggs, goat milk & honey

Bonton farm in South Dallas is driven by the mission to restore lives, create jobs and ignite hope in a community where poverty is rampant and jobs are scarce. Bonton is also a “Food Desert,” where access to healthy foods is non-existent. Bonton Farm grows organic produce, raises free-range chickens, goats, and beehives that provide an abundance of produce, fresh eggs, milk, and honey.

Cartermere Farm  is a family-owned and operated farm located just outside of the town of Celina in North Central Texas. It is committed to producing the highest quality, organic food and to treating nature with the respect it deserves as a borrowed resource.

CHEESE

Paula Lambert fell in love with fresh mozzarella in Italy and decided to bring the art of cheese making home to Texas. Since 1982, her tiny factory in downtown Dallas has made award-winning cheeses the old- fashioned way - by hand. Using fresh milk and the finest Texas ingredients, Mozzarella Company consistently produces cheeses that are recognized across the country for their high quality. Each and every cheese is made completely by hand.

PRODUCE

Johnson’s Backyard Garden got its start in 2004 when Brenton Johnson transformed his East Austin backyard in the Holly Street neighborhood into a bountiful vegetable garden. Today, the JBG crew of just over 100 men and women farms using only certified organic methods, and focus on producing a diverse variety of the highest quality vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Mars Hill Farm in Ferris provides jobs for refugees, grass-fed beef, organic produce and flowers to Dallasites.

Profound Microfarms is a family farm located in Lucas, Texas. It was conceived out of a desire to share a passion for fresh and local produce, and truly sustainable agricultural practices while making a difference in the community.

How It Works

1

You Order

You order your meals a week in advance. You do not need to subscribe. Our weekly menu is changed every Thursday at 1 PM. Delivery is free for orders above $60 per delivery day.

2

We Source

We believe in zero waste. We source the right quantity needed to fill the demand. We source our ingredients from local farmers as much as possible and we always use organic ingredients. Our fish is wild-caught, our meat is grass-fed, and our poultry is pasture-raised.

3

We Cook Then We Chill

We cook on the same days we deliver, so your meals are freshly prepared, just as they would be at home. All meals are delivered cold.

4

We Pack

We have a strong focus on sustainability. Most of our meals are single-serve and are packed in oven-safe compostable containers and wrapped with ice packs.

5

We Deliver

Every week, we deliver your Monday/Tuesday meals on Monday afternoon and your Wednesday/Thursday meals on Wednesday afternoon to your front porch between 2:30 pm – 4:15 pm. We will remind you about your delivery the same morning. Our drivers will pick up your empty bag with the ice packs from your previous delivery.

6

You Unpack

You unpack the meals from your À Table bag and leave the ice packs in the bag. You store your next day's meals in the refrigerator. When you are ready to heat your meal, set your meal on the counter while preheating your oven. Your dinner will be ready to enjoy with your family in 20-25 minutes.

Our Values

Our menu caters to the needs of every member of your family.

Our kids' meals mirror the adult’s meals but are more considerate of their palate. We provide gluten-friendly, dairy-free, nut-free, and vegan options.

Our ingredients are clean.

We only use organic ingredients. We source as much as possible from local farmers. We do not use additives or preservatives.

Our menu is seasonal.

In order to ensure the most premium products at the best value, we deliberately consider and align our menu with the current season. This is why our menu changes weekly and seasonally.

Our meals are cooked on the same day.

We do not use preservatives. We cook on Monday for your Monday and Wednesday dinners and we cook on Wednesdays for your Wednesdays and Thursdays dinners.

We care about you and your family.

We care about your health, your happiness, and your unity. And we also care about our future. The materials we use are thoughtful and consistent with our philosophy. We do not use plastic. We use oven-safe compostable containers made of sugar cane fiber.

We are local.

From our community to your home, we deliver family dinners, school lunch boxes, and local artisanal goods through our marketplace. By supporting a local food system, we encourage the highest freshness for you, strengthen our local economy, and minimize our carbon footprint.

We eliminate waste.

We are a sustainable service and we strive for zero waste. Our on-demand model ensures we source and cook only what you order, that is why we ask you to schedule your meals ahead of time. We use plant-based compostable containers that are designed to transform into healthy, new soil through composting. We use reusable totes and ice packs, collected upon your next order.

Our Team

We are a group of Dallas women with a variety of differing backgrounds, family compositions, and schedules. We recognized that despite our various approaches to how we juggle our specific daily activities, we all have one common goal. And that is to bring our family together at the end of the day over a nutritious, wholesome meal where lively conversation recenters and prioritizes why we do it all. Family.

After moving to Dallas from London two years ago, Josephine Giesen noticed that hectic schedules prevented families from sitting down to dinner together. When this time is sacrificed, so is the opportunity to listen to your children and your spouse and hear about their days. Also commonly sacrificed is the quality of the meal – meals on the go tend to lack the nutrients and vitamins that feed not just your body but your mind also. By alleviating one task - meal preparation - À Table aims to give the community perhaps the most precious resource of all, time - time that would have been spent planning, shopping and preparing meals can now be spent focused on who those meals are actually serving.

With values and goals laid out, Josephine gathered a team of investors to quickstart the concept.

Co-founders, Jenny Hajduk, Michelle Slaughter, and Stephanie Magilow joined efforts.

A graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas, Jenny worked at Neiman Marcus downtown and at NorthPark as the executive chef for 5 years before going out on her own to be a private chef. The time was right for a change of pace, she says, when she met Josephine and Michelle. Jenny brings the unique combination of both restaurant and home chef experience to meet the needs of cooking for the Á Table clientele.

Á Table began selling meals to the community in November 2018 and growth has been rapid!
